Walmer Beach

Located on the south-east coast between Dover and Ramsgate, Walmer Beach is over nine miles long. This beach isn’t sandy, like a lot of the beaches in the region it is in fact covered by shingle, valerian and poppies. You will, however, enjoy the traditional fishing boats, beautiful water and memorial bandstand that all feel like a true undiscovered British seaside resort. Botany Bay

One of the prettiest of Kent’s northern beaches, the 660-ft long sandy beach is great for swimming, exploring rock pools or just walking. From here you can also access Joss Bay, Kent’s best surfing beach, on foot during low tide. The Blue Flag beach has clean, safe water and is quieter than some of Kent’s other northern beaches. More adventurous beach goers can also surf and canoe at this beach.
 

St. Margaret’s Bay

This small bay is one of the most famous beaches in Kent, known for its proximity to the chalk-backed white cliffs of Dover. The water quality is very high and the beach is extremely popular with locals and tourists alike. Channel swimmers start their channel swim from the bay and the cliff above the bay and village is where the sun is supposed to first meet the UK every morning.
