At this time we at Kemwel would like for you to take a moment to read about the following insurance guidelines that may apply to car rentals in the Czech Republic.
Required Coverage
When renting a car in the Czech Republic it is required to have third party liability on the vehicle. Third party liability covers damages or injury to people and property outside of the vehicle (pedestrians, buildings etc, other cars). Kemwel has included unlimited third party liability and fire insurance for all rentals commencing in the Czech Republic.
Optional Coverage
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and theft protection are optional for rentals commencing in the Czech Republic. Kemwel offers CDW and Theft in our inclusive rental rates for the Czech Republic. Many of the rental suppliers we work with will still have a deductible that you will be responsible for in the event of a collision or theft that can range from $500 USD to 1000 USD depending on the car category. Super CDW is a supplementary insurance that is available with most suppliers locally to help reduce the amount of the deductible; the cost is approximately $22 USD per day and can vary between suppliers. Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) may also be available locally to help cover medical related expenses of the driver and passengers in the event of an accident. PAI generally covers up to a specific dollar amount set by the local rental supplier and costs approximately 10-14 USD per day. At this time Kemwel would like to advise you that optional insurance is only available with certain car suppliers, cost and participation may change at anytime without notice at anytime.
