Saint Hallvards Feast is dedicated to the memory of the patron saint of Oslo, Saint Hallvard. The festivities begin at 4:24 in the afternoon to signify the year the city was burned. Saint Hallvard is commemorated with speeches by the Bishop and Mayor of Oslo, a Gregorian vesper and guided tours. As Norwegians celebrate few Norwegian Saints, this ceremony is cherished, quiet and dignified.
