The town of Gouda comes together during the Christmas season for a day of activities ranging from a Christmas fashion show in the morning to an evening reading of the Nativity Story by the mayor. While carols are sung in the town square later that night, the Gothic Town Hall is lit up by candlelight making for a breathtaking backdrop for the carolers.
