The city of Rab hosts an annual Medieval Week, which transports the oldest part of the town back to the Middle Ages for a week of revelry. You will find many activities including demonstrations of traditional knight's games, a crossbow competition, and the Old Crafts Fair. Local bands can be heard throughout the fair, and delicacies from the area are on hand to sample.

What event is complete without a 30-piece Donkey Music Band? Certainly not the Donkey Racing of Dugi Otok Island. Here, the four day event is inaugurated with the band traveling to the mainland to invite the people of Zadar to the Donkey Games. Events leading to the Sunday donkey race include cookouts, outdoor entertainment, and host of scooter races, sack races, and tug-of-war.
