How is my rate guaranteed?

All of Kemwel rates are guaranteed in US dollars and a full prepayment is required in order to confirm you car rental reservation.


How quickly will my reservation be confirmed?

Within 20 minutes after receipt of payment most of our reservations are confirmed. If making a reservation for pick up within the next 48 hours it is treated as a last minute reservation and we highly suggest for you to contact our reservations center at 1 877 820 0668 for more details.


Does Kemwel have any change or cancellation policy?

Kemwel is happy to inform you that no cancel or change fees will be applied to your reservation providing you contact us prior to the completion of the rental. Kemwel must handle all changes or cancellations, as our overseas affiliates are not able to process these requests.


What will I need from Kemwel to pick up my rental vehicle?

In order to pick up your rental vehicle you will need to have your Kemwel reservation voucher with to present to the local supplier. The reservation voucher contains important information the supplier will need in order to release the vehicle to you. Upon receipt of payment Kemwel will fax or email (PDF or HTML) a copy of the confirmed voucher to you. Reservations made online can be mailed to you at anytime upon request. What if I find a better rate for a rental car?

In the event you find a lower rate with another car rental company offering a comparable vehicle, terms and services Kemwel will be happy to either meet or beat their price with our Price Match Guarantee. What type of insurance is available for my rental car?

Insurance coverage is dependant on what country you are traveling to for it differs from country to country. Kemwel’s driving information page for the specific country you are traveling provides details on what type of insurance is required or you can always visit our detailed insurance information page.


When is your reservation center open?

The Kemwel reservation team is available to you 24 hours a day 7 days per week to help in any way possible. Please call us at 1 877 820 0668 or make a reservation online.


Will I be able to contact Kemwel toll free while overseas?

If this feature is available from the country you are traveling to instructions will be provided on your rental voucher in the Terms & Conditions area. Please visit our contact information page to see a full list of ways to reach Kemwel. The local rental company will provide all emergency road service phone numbers to you at time of pick up.


What forms of payment does Kemwel accept?

Kemwel will gladly accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Diners Club and Discover credit cards. Kemwel will also accept personal checks on our inclusive rates only. Please be advised the local car supplier will NOT accept personal checks.


Can I use my airline miles towards my car rental?

Kemwel does not accept airline miles or credit card points, however you can enquire about this with the local rental company upon checking out your vehicle.


Can you guarantee the make and model of the car I am going to receive?

Kemwel is unable to guarantee the make and model of the vehicle you will receive. We can guarantee the transmission and the size. However if you would like to request a specific make or model we will gladly do this for you, but we still cannot guarantee it.


How can I obtain my voucher if I do no receive it?

Kemwel can either fax or email (PDF or HTML format) a copy of your reservation voucher to you at any time or you can always complete our Reservation Look Up Form which will provide you will a printable version of your voucher online.


I do not have a credit card, am I able to rent a car?

Depending on where you are traveling and if Kemwel has a contract with a supplier that will allow for a cash rental then it is possible to rent with out a credit card. In order to do a cash rental full prepayment must be made to Kemwel and the inclusive rate must be selected. At time of pick up the local supplier will require a cash deposit along with your Kemwel reservation voucher.


Am I able to use my debit card to pick up my vehicle?

Not all of the suppliers we work with will accept debit cards locally. If debit cards are accepted locally Kemwel and the supplier would treat it as a cash rental.


How can I confirm my rental car with payment?

You can call us at 1 877 820 0668 and one of our friendly reservation agents will gladly take your information over the phone. Our secure server for credit card payment is also another great way to supply your credit card details to us.


Is an International Drivers License required in Europe?

Some European countries do require an International Drivers license and we strongly recommend having one when traveling to a country where English is not the first language.


What is the difference between your basic and inclusive rental rates?

When selecting our basic rental rate it will include value added tax, public liability insurance, fire insurance and unlimited miles. If you decide to take our inclusive rental rate it will include everything mentioned in the basic rate plus collision damage waiver (CDW) and theft protection on the vehicle.


How can I obtain an International Drivers License?

An International Drivers License can be obtained at your local DMV or AAA office. There are also several websites that can provide you with an International Drivers License.


Where is the Kemwel counter located?

Kemwel is an independent company; we do not represent any one particular car rental company. The name of the car rental supplier and the location will be provided to you and can also be found at the top of your Kemwel reservation voucher.
