Get to Luxembourg City early for this event that rivals New Years celebrations around the world. A parade by torchlight begins the night’s festivities leading to a fantastic fireworks display that can be seen from around the Petrusse Valley. Music of all genres can be heard throughout the Place Guillaume and the Place d’Armes. Come hungry, as sausages and local beers are served well into the night.

Schueberfouer began in 1340 as an ancient shepherd’s market and is now among the oldest still celebrated in Europe. This modest market has transformed into an astounding fair that culminates with a spectacular fireworks display. As homage to the original shepherd's market, the event features a parade of decorated sheep, which are herded through the city’s streets.
